Un-stuffed Cabbage Rolls

You don’t have to make the rolls to enjoy this flavorful dish!

1 lb ground beef 1 tsp italian seasoning

1 medium onion 1 tsp pepper

1 head cabbage 1/2 tsp salt

1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes drained 2 gloves of garlic, minced

1 8 oz can tomato sauce shredded cheddar cheese

cooked rice *optional

Brown beef and onion in a skillet on medium to high heat. Drain and discard grease. Add cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce and spices. Mix well with beef and onion, you may need to add 1/2 cup of water, cover and let cook for about 30 minutes on low heat . Cook rice and add to cabbage mixture or spoon mixture over rice and sprinkle with cheese. If you don’t want to do the rice then just spoon onto your plate and top with cheese.
