We offer fresh seasonable produce!
During our growing season we try to bring you a variety of clean, wholesome, nutritious and fresh vegetables. We have a tunnel (an unheated greenhouse) that we use in order to try to extend our growing season. Early spring will bring lots of fresh leafy greens, broccoli, cabbage, radishes and hopefully some early peas, just to name a few. As the sun warms the soil and gives us longer days the variety of veggies we have will increase and finally around late July everyone's favorites corn and tomatoes! Fall will bring potatoes, sweet and white with more greens, winter squashes and hopefully another round of broccoli and cabbage again just to name a few. We want you to be able to enjoy the full flavor of fresh picked produce. Plus you will find it will hold a bit longer for you too.
If you sign up for our newsletter we'll email you to let you know what's fresh on the porch at the house or what we're harvesting for Saturdays at the market building. We will only be at the stand this year on Saturdays, but will still have produce through the week on the porch. We're down a set of hands this year so we're trying to get it all figured out.
We also grow our own berries: strawberries, red and black raspberries, hopefully some blackberries, we'll see how the crop is this year. Our blueberry bushes are not quite old enough yet to give us a large crop, so we will be bringing those in from a local orchard again. All our berries are grown like our veggies, no pesticides, no fungicides and no chemical fertilizers. We will still offer peaches and apples from a local orchard, but they are not chemical free fruits.
When we are not open on the corner we offer our fresh veggies and pork on the porch at the house. Porch sales are self serve you can pick up when it suits you. You may order pork online and we'll have your order bagged for you when you arrive; typically your order will be ready in the evening or the day after you order it. You will receive and email when your order has been packed and is ready for pick-up. Pork orders are all, in advance orders, and they will be bagged and marked with your name in the freezer on the porch. During our open season at the market building you can pick up your order on Saturdays there if you prefer, we'll have it in a cooler waiting for you.
Our Stand & Porch
We have two locations, the stand at the corner of Middletown and Walker roads open every Saturday 10 am - 2 pm, or “the porch” at 1700 Walker road, Freeland, just up the road from the stand; Sunday thru Wednesday 7 am to 7 pm. The porch is self serve, honor system set up you may come and go when you need to.
Fresh, nutritious and delicious are the reviews we work to hear about our produce. Our veggies are grown au natural, naked, clean; in other words we add no chemicals to our veggies. No sprays, no powders, no chemical fertilizers, just healthy soil and sustainable farming practices.
